As you guys may already know, I’m leaving my hometown at the end of the month to live in Paris for 4 months. Obviously, my boyfriend won’t be coming with me due to his job. Since I’ll be alone, there will be some times that I won’t feel like going out and discover the surroundings, so I need to bring some entertainment with me, and what better entertainment than books? These are some books I will re-read during these 4 months.
Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil Degrasse Tyson
I have always be fascinated by the stars, Neil Degrasse Tyson is a man that fascinates me every time he talks about the working of the universe. When I heard about this book, I ordered it immediately to take with me to Paris.
The World According to Karl
I love Karl Lagerfeld, to me, he is a fashion GOD! This book is full of quotes by him, it is a fun, quick read, so perfect for Paris.
Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**K
Let’s jump right into it. I give too many Fs about everything in life, I already read the book last summer, but didn’t take note, ‘cuz there are still too many Fs in my life.
How to be Parisian wherever you are
This one’s obvious. How not to be a stranger in the town I’ll be living for 4 months
I loved the Netflix series I watched past summer, so I decided to take the book with me to Paris, because books are always better!
The Fifty shades trilogy
Next month, the final chapter of the Fifty shades movies will be released, sadly, in France a lot of movies are dubbed to French. I don’t like watching movies in French, unless the movie is originally French (Taxi & Bienvenue Chez les Ch’tis seriously some of the best movies ever made). So if anyone knows where they play English/American movies that aren’t dubbed in Paris, let me know.
Capture your Style
I’ll be in Paris, the most romantic city on the planet. I obviously want to take a lot of insta-ready pictures, so I’ll re-read this book (to keep me busy) to catch some things I read over.
The little Dictionary of Fashion
This is a little something I got as a coffee table book, but obviously I want to know what’s in it, and Christian Dior’s view on it.
Fire and Fury
This book is obviously the hot read of the moment. I know I’m not American, but what the US president does, does have effect on the rest of the world (that’s why they call him the leader of the free world). I ordered it a few days ago, but it only goes on sale in Belgium on January 25th so normally it will arrive just in time. This will probably be the first book I’ll open in Paris.
I hope you all liked this post, maybe you found some reading inspiration, if you have other good books you think I should read, leave a comment!
